Synopsis

In a small Tamil Nadu town, a typical middle-class family is trying to come to terms with the death of Mangalam. Dorai, the widower is resentful of his late wife’s rich family and the circumstances of his marriage to Mangalam. When Thangam, the widowed elder sister of Mangalam comes to take charge of the household, the clash of personalities and the old hostilities bring out the truth behind Mangalam's death. In Act Two, a modern family in urban India finds that their own world is equally tragic.
