Synopsis

The Sevenfold Tale is set in the heart of Dhaka, where three women from vastly different social spheres find themselves trapped in a stalled elevator of an upscale hotel. Banalata, a prostitute; Ashalata, a housewife; and Shwarnalata, a model and media actress, are brought together in this unlikely encounter. As they navigate the tensions, fears, and shared humanity that arise in this confined space, the walls of class, prejudice, and social norms begin to break down. Each character represents a distinct facet of womanhood in Bangladesh, carrying unique yet interconnected experiences of gender-based violence, societal judgment, and economic struggle.
