Synopsis
'Collages' presents the mind of a manipulative middle-aged woman artist of little talent. There is no clear demarcation of scenes and no evident plot line, but as the woman moves from one scenario to the next, a narrative does emerge. And yet, the audience is forced to examine the nature of this narrative - is it the story of this woman’s life or the playing out of her fantasies? Dadaism is the medium of the play in style and structure; it also forms a leitmotif of the play, of a world without logic, without a centre. A collage of consciousness.
